Webinars for organizers of intellectual competitive events are held in Lomonosov Moscow State University since April to June 2017 in terms of the realization of the project of the Russian Rectors’ Union “Talented young people are the future of Russia”. The main goal of these webinars is to extend best practices and advanced methods of organizing intellectual competitions for talented young people and to improve the methodological and organizational support for schoolchildren’s Olympiads.
On 25 April 2017 the President of the Russian Rectors’ Union, the Chairman of the Russian Council of School Olympiads Academician Victor A. Sadovnichy opened the first webinar. In his speech the Rector Victor A. Sadovnichy took stock the results of the schoolchildren’s Olympiads in 2016 – 2017 school year, spoke about improving the mechanisms for identifying, selecting and attracting talented young people in the Russian Federation, including international schoolchildren’s Olympiads, Universiades and student Olympiads.
On 25 April 2017 a second webinar was held. It was dedicated to discussing the best practices of methodological and organizational support for schoolchildren’s Olympiads of a mathematical profile.
In the near future, it is also planned to conduct webinars on other profiles.
