Congratulations to the team of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics with the victory in the final of RuCTF 2017

The team of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics Bushwhackers took first place in the final XI annual open all-Russian interuniversity competitions with international participation and the conference on information security RuCTF 2017. The event was held from 13 to 17 April 2017 in Ekaterinburg at the Ural State University.

The final tournament was attended by 24 teams which passed pre-qualification, including teams from Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Belarus.

The team Bushwhackers consisted of:

–     Maxim Malkov (the postgraduate student of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics and the captain of the team)

–     Vadim Sheydaev (the master’s degree student)

–     Artur Khashayev (the undergraduate student)

–     Nikita Kozlov (the undergraduate student)

–     Pavel Cheremushkin (the undergraduate student)

–     Roman Lozko (the undergraduate student)

–     Dmitry Galov (the undergraduate student)

The guys performed excellently and finished the competition with almost twofold estrangement from the nearest rival. Ahead there will be preparation for the DEF CON conference in Las Vegas in USA, for 0CTF in Shenzhen in China and for Nuit Du Hack in Paris in France.
